Our Story

Greetings!

We’re half crazy, fully committed spice lovers who literally bought a farm to make hot sauces.

About  ago we decided it wasn't good enough to make our products from someone else's hot peppers. We had to grow those little hotties ourselves. A few years passed before we sold our first bottles. It took time, sweat and a whole lot of stubborn to hone our farming skills and perfect our recipes.

Roots in the Old Goshenhoppen

Our farm sits about 25 miles northwest of Philly in Pennsylvania’s historic Old Goshenhoppen district. This region was first named by settlers in 1728, and it remains a place where Pennsylvania German traditions and craftsmanship endure. Our namesake is Old Goshenhoppen Run, the original name of the creek that borders our southern edge. We call ourselves Gosh Run for short.

Our roots run deep here, from Old City to these rocky hills and everywhere in between. The ground’s tough, but we love it. It makes for great hot peppers and even better sauces.

Inspired by Fraktur

We are inspired by Fraktur, the blackletter script and 18th-century folk art synonymous with our region. You see it in our labels and logo. From centuries-old manuscripts to modern calligraphic expression, Fraktur is imaginative and bold. Just like our sauces.

Farm Crafted Heat

Fraktured Sauce is built to complement the foods you love. Our premium-aged pepper mash is at the heart of every batch, delivering full-bodied flavor and smooth, rounded heat. We don't take shortcuts. We harvest, grind, and age our peppers for a minimum of one year using a dry-salt method. It’s a slow process, but that time creates a great sauce that will definitely earn a place at your table.

Farm Crafted Sweet

We started beekeeping a few years ago and immediately realized bees are crazier than we are. That's fine with us, we love the company. We provide them with a home, strive to keep them healthy, and hope they stay out of trouble. In the end, we’re just along for the ride. Those little maniacs do all the heavy lifting,  working tirelessly to produce an amazing wildflower honey and pollinating just about everything in their path. Locally Grown, Nationally Known

We’ve been named one of the best Philly-area hot sauce makers by the Philadelphia Inquirer, and our sauces have earned national recognition from the Scovie and Screaming Mimi Awards. But the only award that really matters is folks like you coming back for more.
